We will be in contact with those who apply for the 2015 event in mid February 2015. Submission for artists to participate will end on February 25th, 2015, and Volunteers by March 5th. Music (seeking ambient downtempo sets by local Dj’s), Arts (Decor, Installation, Live Painting, VJ’s), Yoga & meditation, Logistics (set-up, tear-down, hospitality) and general volunteers. As a volunteer staff member, you will assist in a variety of behind-the-scenes tasks that include set-up, cleaning up (composting, recycling, litter removal, & minimizing event waste), parking vehicles, providing hospitality services, and contributing to the overall positivity of the Subduction Zone experience. Zone volunteers are eligible for discounted tickets with 3 & 6 hour volunteer shifts.
We are also looking several people to participate in a single event position on an arts and ambiance board, a group which will direct the production managers in the direction of the arts and ambiance of the event. They will help select the headliners, local artists and scheduling of overall festival through research and voting. Commitment of about 10-20 hours and a few meetings over the next few months as we provide the parameters for the lead coordinators of the event. Strong communication skills required.
